His interest in artisanal production methods was of critical note, and he developed a fascination with the affect of environment, weather, and humidity on the final product. His concern for the environment also prompted the next generation of staff at Ron Diplomatico to implement sustainable practices, like recycling wastewater, to reduce their carbon footprint.
The Taste
Unlike any other rum we’ve tasted, Ron Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Rum, Venezuela, drinks like an aged sherry or cognac with complex notes of toffee, rum raisin ice cream, cocoa, and spice. The nose shows characteristics of cinnamon spice, banana cake, and orange zest, with a deep amber color, and a glass coating body that will have you savoring every last sip.
Copper pot distilled, this dark rum is great in a traditional daiquiri, or on its own over ice. A must have for summer entertaining. SRP is $32-39.
