Key West's Bahama Bob Shares His Favorite Cocktails for National Rum Day

In celebration of National Rum Day on August 16th, we asked Rhum Barbancourt to pick their favorite Florida bar, and share a few cocktails with us. They took a trip down to the Southernmost Point, and brought back some classic rum punch recipes.

The Rum Bar is located in the lobby of the Speakeasy Inn, in Key West, Florida.  The Rum Bar has quite the reputation with rum aficionados, and locals know ‘ Bahama Bob’ as their bartender, and local rum ambassador.

Like many Key West residents, Bob currently lives on a boat off the shores of the island.  Originally from San Francisco, Bob spent much of his adult life in California, and then Charlotte, North Carolina with the NASCAR Racing Team as an engineer.  A long time traveler of the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States, Bob finally hung up his ‘racing tires’, and moved to Key West in 2005.

If you can’t find Bob at the Rum Bar, he’s probably on the boat, off touring ancient ruins in the Caribbean, or looking for inspiration for his next cocktail.  Check out Bob’s RumStyles blog here: http://bahamabobsrumstyles.blogspot.com.
