Although rum punch is a traditional favorite, we’ve got a few favorites from our friends around the globe for National Rum Day!
Our friends at Angostura have given us a few recipes to share this week, as summer comes to it’s last warm days, and we need a bit of excitement in our cocktail glasses.
Angostura Mint Mojito
Ingredients:
2 oz Angostura® Reserva Rum
1 oz Simple Syrup
8 Mint Leaves
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
2 dashes Angostura® aromatic bitters
Soda Water
Combine mint and rum into a shaker, muddle. Add simple syrup, bitters, and lime juice. Shake with ice, and pour into a highball glass filled with ice.

Cable Car
Garnish: Lemon twist & nutmeg sugar rim
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Angostura 1919 Rum
¾ oz Cointreau
1 oz Freshly squeezed Lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
1 oz egg white
4 dashes Angostura® aromatic bitters
Method:
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and shake. Double strain into a chilled and rimmed coupe glass.

Pina Colada
Glass: Hurricane; garnish: Pineapple slice and maraschino cherry
Ingredients:
2 oz Angostura® Reserva Rum
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 ¾ oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
3 oz Homemade Coconut Cream*
Large scoop of crushed ice
8 dashes Angostura® aromatic bitters
Method: Combine rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, coconut cream and ice into a blender and blend until smooth. Add 8 dashes of Angostura® aromatic bitters on top.
