On November 2nd, the second annual celebration of International Sherry Week kicks off, with celebrations planned bigger and better than ever.
A global festival to celebrate all things sherry, International Sherry Week will see thousands of restaurants, wine bars, wine shops, hotels and bodegas across the world holding events, showcasing Sherry cocktails and special pairing menus, as well as tastings and other Sherry-themed events, in order to spread the word about sherry, and how it is so much more than simply a wine for cooking, or something served as an after dinner nip.
If you’ve never tried sherry paired with food, Sherry Week presents the perfect opportunity to get to know this often misunderstood wine style. The infographic below was created to help you pair different styles of sherry with delicious dishes, and better understand the Palomino Fino, Moscatel, and Pedro XimĂ©nez grapes that make up this very unique fortified wine.
