Bacardi 8 Aged Rum

BACARDI® 8 is aged for more than eight years in carefully selected oak barrels. After aging it is blended to perfection featuring notes of prunes, apricots, nutmeg and vanilla over a clean woody background of oak. Its taste is smooth, rich and very full with a long and expansive finish.

  • 2 parts BACARDI® Superior Rum
  • 1 part Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 heaped tsp. caster sugar
  • Soda water or sparkling water to top up
  • Cubed ice
  • Lemon wedge to garnish
  • Highball glass


Step 1. Put all the ingredients (except the garnish!) into a shaker.

Step 2. Add ice and give it a proper shake.
Step 3. Double strain (using both the Hawthorne and Fine Strainer) into a chilled or frozen glass.
Step 4. Top up with soda water or sparkling water.
Step 5. Garnish with lemon wedge or orange wedge preferred.
