Salsa is probably one of the most popular go-to snacks for the majority of Americans during their Super Bowl Sunday festivities. This year we feel it’s time to change things up a bit.
If you like to show your friends how creative you are, you may want to check out this Super Bowl party recipe from Chef Kathy Fang in San Francisco. This Tropical Crab Salsa is healthier than that bowl of chili cheese dip, and will definitely give your guests something else to cheer for!
Here’s how to do it:
Ingredients: Serves 4
- 2 cups crab meat (Dungeness crab)
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 3/4 cup finely diced mangos (preferably a little less rip than normal)
- 1 avocado diced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili flake
- optional: if you like it spicy, freshly diced jalapenos are great additions (1 tablespoon)
- 4 tablespoon lemon
- juice of half a lime
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Bag of your favorite tortilla chips
Directions:
Simply toss all the ingredients like you would a salad. Serve in a bowl with a side of the tortilla chips and scoop away!
