Repurpose is only selling three awesome items right now: clear cold cups, insulated cups, and their cutlery sets. The cold cups are BPA free and use soy-based inks, so they’re a lot safer for those with sensitivities in addition to just being eco-friendly. Repurpose’s cutlery is also more traditional looking than WorldCentric’s, if that’s something you’re looking for in your picnic supplies. With this heat we aren’t playing with the hot cups yet, but at $4.99 for a dozen insulated cups and lids, we’ll be using these once it’s tea and coffee season again.
There is one downside to these plates and cups, though: they’re not incredibly colorful. The ink is green, rarely black, and most of the plates and cups are brown. (WorldCentric does offers custom printing options, though, and their rep mentioned making fancier plate styles for weddings in the past.) If you still need that pop of color at your picnic or party, just let the food do the talking. Hit the farmer’s market, pick up some fresh fruit, and have the best, fully edible decorations ever to go with your awesome eco-friendly picnic.
