Tickets are on sale now for the 2013 Taste Washington, the nation’s largest single-region wine and food event. The 16th annual Taste Washington takes place Saturday, March 23, 2013, and Sunday, March 24, 2013, at CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle.
The Taste Washington Grand Tasting, expanded to a two-day event in 2012, is at CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle. Hundreds of Washington wineries will pour their favorite wines and Northwest restaurants will serve specially prepared bites. The popular vineyards section will continue to feature growers pouring wines made from their grapes by wineries across the state, allowing consumers to discover a true sense of place from bottle to bottle and learn about some of the state’s most renowned vineyards.
Tickets are available online at www.tastewashington.org or through TicketMaster. General admission tickets are $80 and allow patrons to attend the event from 2 to 5 p.m. VIP admission begins at 1 p.m. and allows wine enthusiasts early and exclusive access to winemakers and chefs. VIP tickets are $145. Two-day ticket prices are $125 for general admission and $185 for VIP admission. A special holiday promotion is currently running and would make a fitting stocking stuffer for the wine enthusiast this holiday season. The special promotion runs through December 31 featuring $10 off general admission tickets (one- and two-day prices); simply enter the promotional code “TWHoliday” at purchase.
The Taste Washington Seminars will be held at CenturyLink Field Event Center on Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24. The seminars will feature renowned wine experts from across the nation leading in-depth explorations of Washington wine. The seminar speaker line-up will be announced soon and seminar tickets will also be available at wwww.tastewashington.org. Lastly, Taste Washington patrons may search for and book Seattle area hotels from www.tastewashington.org beginning today as well.
Taste Washington is produced by Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) in partnership with the Washington State Wine Commission. SCVB assumes primary responsibility for producing the event, including sponsorship and vendor arrangements, while the Commission manages winery participation and other wine-related activities.
